§ 22-19. Adoption of fire safety law.

  • There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion those certain codes known as the National Fire Codes, volumes 1 through 11, as amended by Ga. Comp. Rules and Regs. ch. 120-3-3 of the rules and regulations of the state, under authority of O.C.G.A. §§ 25-2-4, 25-2-12, and 50-13-21. There shall be not less than one copy of such codes filed in the office of the city and the codes are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out completely in this article. From the date on which the ordinance from which this article is derived shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city.
